science swap

Today we had science in room 16 for science swap. We basically crushed a can with science.
So we Got a tripod, some methylated spirits small metal net. We lit the methylated spirits and stuck it under the tripod. We put some water into a can and put it over the methylated spirits and waited.
Finely the water is boiling and miss Green put in the ice and water and it made a lowed Pop noise. All the Air was sucked out of the can.

12-5-16 Thursday

I put trim milk in a bowl with food colouring , but as put in the detergent it didn't give a big reaction.

The next one I had blue milk with food colouring as well , when I put detergent it had a tiny bit bigger reaction.

For my last experiment I put both of the blue and the trim milk together and added the food colouring as well. When I put the detergent the milk made a massive reaction compared to the others.

Whangarei Friends

It was a stunning day to go and see old friends, well to surprise them at least. So the first person I went to see was Briar, she used to go to the same school that I used to go to now she goes to a christian school. She didn’t know that I was coming, so when I got to the door you could hear her mum saying “someone's here to see you , someone's here to see you”, and as she opened the door as briar looked at me, she took about a second to realise who I was because she gasped and hugged me tight.

It was about a day after I slept over at Briar’s that I went to Shea’s house for a sleepover as well. We went to the movies and watched Zootopia and it looked pretty cool.

I really enjoyed hanging with my friends.

survivor day and night

Survivor day and night.  

I was so excited for survivor day. I couldn’t wait anymore. I arrived at school early so I could unload the stuff out of the car. I Got to class, got changed then the bell rang .The practice chant started everyone did really good. Finally the bell rang for morning tea. During morning tea the year 7 and 8’s took their stuff to the top field. Once all my stuff was at the top field. I helped my friend with their stuff. Then we got started with our shelter.But we had no idea to what we needed to build, so we just stuck sticks into the ground.The wind came out of no where. It just broke one of our sticks. It was not long until mrs Johnson came and helped us. Well I wouldn’t say “help” more doing it than helping us. But at least it got done sooner than we would have. Thank goodness we had some lunch. It was really good. After all that stress of not getting it done is of our backs. When the bell rang for the end of lunch it was the rope challenge. Sadly black and white lost that, but we won the class challenges. After all that we watched a movie for 28 minutes and then we got ready for bed. We didn’t really sleep but we slept for four hours and woke up at 6 : 50 in the morning. We had breakfast. At 11 :30 we went to the aquatic center and spent 2 and a half hours. We had to get dressed because it was time to go. We arrived at school and there were sausages waiting for us. I had two sausages for lunch. when the bell rang for the end of the day, everyone went home and took a nap.
